A drawing, because nobody has sent us a photograph of Udzungwa Falls Lodge yet. Send five and this page changes the same week.
The most comfortable option in the Kilombero area and the least like a bush camp. Forty en-suite rooms, a pool, a coffee shop and bakery, a generator against the power cuts, and conference facilities that bring in a domestic corporate trade alongside visitors. It is roughly ten kilometres from Kilombero township, so it is a base near the park rather than at it: factor in the drive to Mang'ula each morning.
Why you'd pick it
- By far the largest property in the area, with 40 rooms
- Swimming pool, coffee shop, bakery and its own generator
- Conference facilities, which is why it fills with groups rather than hikers
What's here
- Swimming pool
- Family rooms
- En-suite bathrooms
- Solar or 24h power

What the park charges on top
The rate above buys you a bed. Udzungwa Mountains National Park charges its own entry fee for every day you are inside. Here is what that adds up to.
- Park entry$30 plus 18% VAT, charged per 24 hours.
- $35.4per person, per day
Three nights means three days inside, so two adults pay $212.4 in park fees before anyone pays for a bed.
No vehicle fee is published, and there are no game-drive roads to use one on.
The full fee schedule for Udzungwa Mountains National ParkRates
TSh 190,000 per person per night. Fully inclusive, sharing, per the lodge's own website. Third-party sites quote from about $95. The lodge's own figure is the one to work from.
What the rate covers is not confirmed. We do not know yet whether meals, drinks and activities are included, so read this as the bed only.

Indicative 2026 rates gathered in July 2026 from operators' own material and the official TANAPA tariff. Always confirm directly with the property. Note that TANAPA park fees and the compulsory guide fee are separate from every rate below, so add roughly $35.40 per adult per day plus $23.60 per group per day for walking.
