Conservation fee (per person, per day)
| Non-East African visitor, 16+ | $30 | $35.40 including 18% VAT |
|---|---|---|
| Non-East African child, 5–15 | $10 | $11.80 including VAT |
| Child under 5 | Free | |
| East African citizen, 16+ | TSh 5,000 | TSh 5,900 including VAT. Child 5–15: TSh 2,000 |
| Expatriate or Tanzanian resident, 16+ | $15 | $17.70 including VAT. Child 5–15: $5 |
Udzungwa sits in TANAPA's lower-priced tier alongside Katavi, Mikumi, Ruaha, Saadani, Kitulo and Mkomazi, so it costs half what the northern circuit parks charge. Note that Tanzania is not a separate rate: TANAPA folds Tanzanian citizens into the East African Community category, which also covers Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan. Bring your passport, because ID is checked. Expatriates need a Class A, B or C residence permit, an exemption certificate, a temporary pass with receipt and acknowledgement letter, or a diplomatic passport.

Vehicles
| Udzungwa vehicle entry fee | Not published | TANAPA's Udzungwa brochure has no vehicle line at all, which makes sense in a park with no interior roads |
|---|---|---|
| National weight-based vehicle tariff | May apply | TANAPA runs a country-wide vehicle schedule by weight class; whether it is charged at Mang'ula in practice is not documented |
| Parking at Mang'ula headquarters | No published charge | Your vehicle stays at headquarters while you walk, because there is nowhere inside the park to drive it |
Ask at the Visitor Information Centre when you register, and budget a little in case the national schedule is applied.

Guides, rangers and activity fees
| Compulsory guide fee, per group per day | $20 | $23.60 including VAT. East African citizens: TSh 5,000. This is not optional |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum group size per guide | 6 people | Widely quoted but not stated in the primary tariff document; one older source says 8 |
| Armed ranger, multi-day and plateau routes | Arranged at HQ | Mandatory on the Hidden Valleys, Mwanihana and Lumemo routes because of elephant and buffalo. No separate published line |
| Walking safari, national tariff line | $20 to $25 | $20 short, $25 long. In practice operators quote the $20 group guide fee as the Udzungwa cost |
| Porters, privately hired | $15 to $25 per day | Not a TANAPA fee and not on any tariff. No official kilogram load limit exists, unlike Kilimanjaro |
| Village cycling and cultural tours | Via the park Tourism Office | Arranged with the community-run Udzungwa Guide Association; no published price list |
There is no rescue fee for Udzungwa. TANAPA lists one only for Kilimanjaro and Meru. Night walks are not offered here at all, so the night-drive tariff line you see for savanna parks does not apply.
