The trail camps are not a budget alternative to a lodge, they are the infrastructure of the multi-day treks. Njokamoni Wilderness Camp and Mwanihana Base Camp are the two nights on the three-day Mwanihana route; Campsite 3 serves the Hidden Valleys walk. Expect nothing but a place to pitch. Public campsites at headquarters need no booking; special, seasonal and fly campsites do.

What the park charges on top
The rate above buys you a bed. Udzungwa Mountains National Park charges its own entry fee for every day you are inside. Here is what that adds up to.

Yes, as far as Mang'ula headquarters. TANAPA's own visitor guide says most visitors drive via Dar es Salaam or Iringa on the Mikumi to Kilombero or Ifakara route. From there, the trail camps themselves are reached only on foot as part of a multi-day trek, not by vehicle.
